What is the dress code for the Srisailam Temple?

For Men: Traditional attire is required, such as a Dhoti/Kurta or Pyjama with an upper cloth. For the special Sparsha Darshan (where you touch the deity), men must remove their shirt and vest.

For Women: A Saree with a blouse, a Punjabi dress with a dupatta, or a Chudidhar with a dupatta is mandatory.

Prohibited: Western wear like jeans, t-shirts, shorts, and sleeveless tops are strictly not allowed inside the main sanctum.

How can I reach Istakameshwari Temple?

This temple is located in a deep forest zone about 21 km from Srisailam.

Transport: Private vehicles are not allowed. You must book a dedicated local forest jeep from the Nekkanti Jungle Ride counter.

Permit: Access is subject to forest department clearance and weather conditions. Jeep rides are bumpy and involve a short trek at the end.

Are there any restrictions on mobile phones and cameras?

Srisailam: Photography and mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises. You must leave your gadgets in your hotel or use the lockers provided by the temple.
