Temple & Site Overviews
Shri Ramanathaswamy Temple One of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas, this architectural wonder features the world's longest temple corridors and is the spot where Lord Rama worshipped Shiva to seek penance. It remains a focal point of the Char Dham pilgrimage, offering deep spiritual cleansing through its ancient corridors and sanctums.

Kothandaramaswamy Temple Located on the way to Dhanushkodi, this is the historic site where Vibhishana surrendered to Lord Rama and was subsequently crowned King of Lanka. It is a miracle of survival, being the only structure left standing after the devastating 1964 cyclone that swept the surrounding area.

Agni Theertham This sacred stretch of calm sea located right in front of the main temple gate is the traditional first stop for every pilgrim to take a holy dip. It is believed that taking a bath here washes away sins and prepares the soul for the subsequent 22 ritual baths inside the temple.

Villondi Theertham A natural marvel featuring a freshwater well located in the middle of the salty ocean, marking where Lord Rama shot an arrow to provide fresh water for Goddess Sita. It serves as a miraculous testament to the Ramayana, allowing visitors to taste sweet water amidst the salt sea.
