Frequently asked questions

Is the Taj Mahal open every day?

No. The Taj Mahal is strictly closed on Fridays for general public viewing (only open to those attending Friday prayers at the mosque). Ensure your itinerary does not land your Agra visit on a Friday. For all other days, it is open from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset.

What is the dress code for Krishna Janma Bhoomi (Mathura)?

Mandatory: Modest and traditional Indian clothing is required.

For Men: Full-length trousers, Dhoti, or Pyjamas with a shirt/kurta. Shorts and sleeveless vests are strictly prohibited.

For Women: Saree, Salwar-Kameez with a dupatta, or long skirts. Avoid short skirts, leggings, or sleeveless tops to respect temple sanctity.

What items are prohibited inside the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort?

Strict Security: The Taj Mahal maintains security similar to an airport. The following are banned: Tripods, selfie sticks, drones, external battery packs/chargers, headphones, large bags, and food items (including chewing gum).

Allowed: You can carry your mobile phone (must be on silent), a still camera, a small purse, and one water bottle per person. Photography is strictly forbidden inside the main mausoleum of the Taj Mahal.

Where are the best places for shopping on this tour?

Jaipur (Pink City): Johari Bazaar is world-famous for gemstones and jewelry (Meenakari work). Bapu Bazaar is the best for Rajasthani textiles, Bandhani fabrics, and leather mojris (shoes).

Delhi: Visit Janpath Market or Connaught Place for a mix of trendy fashion and traditional handicrafts.

Agra: Look for Pietra Dura (marble inlay work) souvenirs and the famous local sweet, Agra Petha.

Can infants travel for free?

Yes. Under our special offer, children under 2 years (infants) are eligible for a 100% free flight ticket. Please carry an original birth certificate as proof for airport check-in.

When is the best time to visit the Golden Triangle?

Peak Season: October to March is ideal, with pleasant temperatures (10°C to 27°C).

Summer Caution: Avoid visiting in May and June, as temperatures can soar above 45°C, making outdoor sightseeing difficult.

Are there long walks involved?

Amer Fort (Jaipur): Requires climbing or a vehicle ride to reach the main gates. We suggest using the authorized Jeep service if you wish to avoid the steep walk.

Taj Mahal: You will walk approximately 500 meters from the parking zone to the entrance. Battery-operated shuttle buses are available for a small fee if needed.
